I saved this shot to post last so that it could be at the top. This was honestly just very lucky timing as my crane got spooked and wanted to fly farther away from me. The picture is a bit overexposed due to the time of day (bad, bright, mid-day lighting), but I love the water rolling off the bird's feet and the arc of the wings just beginning flight.

great photo! you captured the whole motion of the bird getting in the air in one picture.
ReplyDeleteI like how you were able to catch the crane flying off like that. Great timing.
ReplyDeleteWow Awesome Snap! This look like this would be in National Geographic or something.
ReplyDeleteWell thanks everyone! My husband, who is a hobby photographer, was with me and caught a MUCH better shot of this bird that really puts mine to shame. It's just gorgeous though, so here's the link for any bird enthusiasts out there: http://www.flickr.com/photos/dynamicmange/3449470126/
